The Anglo-North Irish Fish Producers Organisation is managed
by a Board consisting of eight Directors, who are elected on an
annual basis by the membership of the PO. The Board is headed by
a Chairman
who serves a two year term. The Board meets on a regular basis and
is charged with making all policy and management decisions relating
to both the day-to-day operations of the PO and the Organisation’s
Fish Sales Division.
The PO is a constituent organisation within the UK’s National
Federation of Fishermen’s Organisations (NFFO) and holds two
seats on the NFFO’s Executive Committee. Through the NFFO
the PO is involved in a range of national and European forums. NFFO
Services provides a range of liaison roles with offshore developers.
The ANIFPO team consists of eight members of staff.
- Alan McCulla has been the ANIFPO’s Chief
Executive since 1993. He is from a Kilkeel fishing family. On
behalf of the PO Alan is actively involved in a number of other
industry organisations, including the UK’s National Federation
of Fishermen’s Organisations, the North-Western Waters Regional
Advisory Council and the Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen.
- John Cassidy was appointed as the Organisation’s
Fish Sales Manager in February 2007. In this role John is responsible
for marketing catches made by the PO’s member vessels. Coming
from another well known Kilkeel fishing family, John has many
years practical experience as a fishing skipper and he owns his
own trawler.
- Lynda McCall has been with the ANIFPO since
1993 and is the first point of contact in the PO’s office.
Lynda is responsible for the administration of a range of issues
within the PO, including quota management, grants and the provision
of crews.

since 2000. Alison brought to the Organisation a great deal of
experience from within the fishing industry and is today mainly
responsible for the administration of the Fish Sales Division.
- Karen McBride joined the PO in June 2007.
Within the team her primary duties are with the Fish Sales Division,
although Karen also assists with a range of other administrative
duties within the organisation.
- Brendan Quinn and Noel McBride
are the Organisation’s men on the quayside at Kilkeel. Both
are former fishermen and have brought a great deal of experience
to their new duties with the Fish Sales Division. Brendan and
Noel are often the first point of contact for vessels landing
their catches into the port.
